Alright, this time it’s for real: The Gumbabies will release a new record in the very near future. After we went to Madras Prison Studios once again, we have now finished recording, mixing and mastering 4 new tracks. In May or June we will release a Vinyl-7″ called „Cogito, ergo, SCUM“ on our very own Sick Night Records. The release will be available as a free download as well. Vinyl will have 3 different editions with coloured wax, silk screen covers and more fancy stuff.

Happy fuckin‘ 2012 to all of you. Unfortunately our Christmas gig in Düsseldorf got cancelled due to health problems of Die Schwarzen Schafe members. The show is now re-announced for february, so watch out. At the moment The Gumbabies are heavily involved in songwriting for a new EP (expect that as free download and very limited vinyl for Mai 2012) and an exclusive song for a Munich compilation called „In München nix los“ scheduled for summer 2012. The Gumbabies hit the infamous Madras Prison Studios once again in late February. Several gigs are planned for 2012 as well, so stay tuned for further informations from The Gumbabies‘ spastic wonderland.
This Saturday the Gumbabies will play the Planetrox-Finals in Düsseldorf. We just wanted to let you know, that this is an early show. The Gumbabies‘ stagetime is 19:00 straight. Make sure to show up early to catch 30 minutes of Gumpunk and have a beer with us afterwards. See you at „Haus der Jugend“.
As some of you might already know, we won that online-voting-thing some minutes before midnight with 6 votes ahead and incredible 843 votes in total. We did it, which means you did it. Thanks for your support, we really appreciate that. Now we head out to Düsseldorf on August, 20th to play the finals for Germany at Haus der Jugend. When in town or around on that saturday, make sure to stop by, have a beer with us and show your support during the set. The audience and a jury decides if we can fly over to Canada for having a slot on Envol & Macadam Festival in Quebec. Other bands on the Festival are Rise Against and Flogging Molly for example. One last time we‘re asking for your support and then we‘re up to new projects this fall.
After getting served the finest junk for years by The Gumbabies, this time’s for real to get your asses up and support us! The Gumbabies have been picked out by a hundred bands from all over Germany for the semi-finals of the Planetrox-contest. In a nutshell, these guys take 15 bands from 15 countries and invite them to the big Envol & Macadam Festival to Quebec / Canada. All we have to do now, is to win a lousy online contest and leave four other bands behind. Then we will be invited for the finals in Düsseldorf in August, where we have to do some finest Gumbabies-racket onstage and Matt Dangerfield of The Boys being in the jury that night. So far, so exciting, but now we need your help. So log in once to that site (no spam-mails, even no registration-mails, we promise!) and vote for our D.I.Y.-all in a night-No budget video for „Liquid sunshine“. The voting ends on July, 29th and every account can vote once every day. So please get the five sexiest dirty old rotten fuckers in town the possibility to spread some chaos over Quebec.
